Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) focuses on pre-crisis preparedness, acute crisis management, and post-crisis follow-up.  One component of this is Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), which is a small-group supportive intervention process following a stressful or traumatic event.
