Allen was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for 8 years and a correctional officer for 4 years and experienced firsthand the physical and emotional stress of being a first responder. He has since re-entered volunteer firefighting with the Culloden Volunteer Fire Department. He has also worked as a personal trainer and now works as a security manager, leading and training teams of security officers with a focus on maintaining safety while optimizing customer service.
